Slipknot have released the trailer for an upcoming film, Day Of The Gusano, which chronicles the band’s show at Knotfest Mexico City, as well as shining a light on their rabid fanbase of “maggots.”

A blurb for the film reads, “Day Of The Gusano documents not only a historic Knotfest Mexico City performance from Slipknot, one of the most exciting live bands on the planet, but delves deeply into the lives of the ban’s fans as well. Slipknot’s fans, better known as maggots, are essential to the band’s legacy. This highly anticipated show captures the chaos, excitement and community that has been cultivated over the past 20+ years.”

The film will receive a limited-release in theatres across America on September 6. No release date has been announced for Australia.
