Bat Out Of Hell Singer Michael Lee Aday, better known as Meat Loaf, has collapsed on stage at a concert in Pittsburgh in what has now been called an asthma attack. Just four songs into the show the 63 year old singer fell flat on his back and fainted.

Emergency crews and roadies rushed to assist Meat Loaf and to the surprise of the crowd he was back on his feet and performing in under 10 minutes. Later in the gig during Paradise by the Dashboard Light Meat Loaf explained to the crowd “I fucking fainted. I have asthma … I can’t breathe … and then … oh wait, I forgot … I got poked by a pin and bled half to death … and then I got slapped in the face and my tooth is loose.”

Meat Loaf has had a number of hits during his career, most notably his landmark release Bat Of Of Hell which despite it’s 1977 release is the highest selling international album in Australia going 23x Platinum. He returns to our shores in October as part of his Guilty Pleasure worldwide tour which will see him perform at the 2011 AFL Grand Final.
