How much crack does £8 million get you? A question Amy Winehouse might be able to answer if she was still alive as news surfaces most of the fortuned she worked hard to earn has been spent frivolously in the last 2 years of her life. Far from the estimated £10 million fortune she had amassed in 2008, Amy Winehouse left behind a mere £2 million.

A story in The Mirror in January 2009 claimed that she had asked her father, Mitch, to look after her £15million assets. A source told the paper “She can be very impetuous and the family wanted to protect her. She cannot make a sudden decision…She can’t do anything stupid,”

It’s thought she spent most of her money paying for drugs and alcohol, and for friends during nights out. Now surfacing are fresh allegations against Amy’s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil claiming he asked her to give him cash whenever she wanted affection.

“He’d charge her £150 just to kiss him and get near him. They’d be sitting, having a couple of drinks and she’d be trying to snuggle up to him. She’d say, ‘Give me a kiss, sailor,’” a source told British newspaper The Sun. “He’d go, ‘F**k off, Give me some money then’ – and she’d go, ‘Blake, Blake.’”

Whilst she may have drained her assets during her life, in death Amy’s records have soared to the top of the charts around the world, and can now claim the title of the UK’s biggest selling album of the 21st century with Back To Black.
