The 12-piece garage pop Velociraptor, ‘Earth’s mightiest band’ (featuring members of DZ Deathrays and solo artist Jeremy Neale) are gearing up to simultaneously release an album and tour, a feat so bold it has many pundits questioning both their sanity and their management’s general competence. The World Warriors tour will see Velociraptor tour the world* over, including Sydney, Wollongong, Gold Coast, home-town Brisbane, Byron Bay, Melbourne and their first ever show in Adelaide.
The band are incredibly excited that anyone outside Brisbane has bothered to book them and had this to say about their anticipation for the upcoming October tour: “Tour? What tour? Why the f*^$k doesn’t our manager tell us this sh*#t?”
It has been years between releases for Velociraptor and they are back with a special edition vinyl and digital release of their game changing mini-LP, The World Warriors, out September 7 via Create/Control.
