It’s another day and yet another sign that the festival market here in Australia is over-satured has just arrived in our inboxes. Raggamuffin, the reggae festival from concert promoter Andrew McManus, will not be returning in 2012 although there are plans for it to return in 2013.

If you participated in the presale for Raggamuffin 2012, and clearly many didn’t, then you can receive a refund from the point of purchase.  UB40 front man Ali Campbell was set to headline the festival.

Promoter, Andrew McManus said “We are concentrating on building the New Zealand leg of Raggamuffin into a massive two day festival. With 30,000 people attending the New Zealand shows in previous years, we are looking to double this in coming years. This growth will enable us to return to Australia in 2013 bigger and better than ever”.

To satisfy the Australian fans of reggae and Caribbean music, McManus Entertainment will be announcing a theatre tour with several of the Raggamuffin acts in the coming weeks.
