Nick van Breda has been a mainstay on the Australian music scene for the last decade both as a drummer and frontman for bands such as Staying At Home, Animal Shapes, and Lights Out.

Over the past two years van Breda has been releasing music as a solo artist working alongside up and coming Sydney producer Dylan Adams (Sticky Fingers, Sailmaker).

“The World And The Everyday” is his new single (which you can hear below) and will be released alongside 2012’s critically acclaimed single “Think About”, both digitally and on 7” vinyl through brand new Melbourne based label, Catch Release Records.

Having been lauded for his poignant lyrics and sharp pop sensibilities, Triple J’s Dan Buhagiar proclaimed that if Josh Pyke and Jonathan Boulet spawned an offspring, he’d probably sound a lot like Nick van Breda.

Hot off the heels of a huge national tour with Milhouse bass player, Dave Drayton (zzzounds) in support of their split 7” released earlier this year on Tenzenmen Records, van Breda is thrilled to announce his own hefty national tour supporting the release of “The World And The Everyday”.

Nick van Breda is also playing support for The Smith Street Band’s Wil Wagner on his recently announced solo tour, and as opening act for The Evening Cast’s Lake EP Tour.
