Whoever or whatever Bansky is, there’s no doubting that he/they/it definitely has some sway when it comes to bringing rock stars together, as his latest project more than demonstrates.

You’d be pretty happy opening up a little piano bar and having the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea rock up to play some gigs for you, but that’s what Banksy has managed for his latest art installation – well, sort of.

See, they don’t actually come to the venue to play; instead, as NME reports, they pre-record music to be played by an old-school player piano, which plays along of its own accord. There is a live element of sorts though, as the artist appears in the Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem via a video link, interacting with the audience rather than any actual instruments.

Composer Hans Zimmer will also play a gig at the art space, which was recently opened by none other than Elton John, with a sneak peek below. Of course, we know that Trent Reznor is no stranger to weird art projects, having just coated his fans in black powder as a very messy artistic statement.
