The Cheap Thrills label hails from designer Ivan Gomez’s passion for music and all things irreverent – so it’s fitting that a swag of high calibre Melbourne musos will rock out at the launch on Thursday this week. Live acts include Triple J darling Owl Eyes, Alpine, City Calm Down, Jordie Lane, Strange Talk DJ’s, I OH YOU DJ’s, Rob Pix and more.

Revellers will also experience fashion design at it’s most raw, when some of Melbourne’s best illustrators create pieces for next season’s collection, live around the venue – based on instruction from bands and artists like the Arctic Monkeys, Kimbra and the Scissor Sisters.

‘Artist inspired’ designs are at the heart of Cheap Thrills, but the label is also dedicated to classic fits, fine detailing and a decent price point – so to make life easy, a pop-up shop will be on site at The Carlton for the launch.

Live music, art, fashion, drinks (did we mention Coopers are throwing in free beer from 7 – 9pm?) and Cheap Thrills all-round – Get down to Hasti Bala at The Carlton on Thursday March 1, from 7PM and experience some Cheap Thrills of your own.
