Peats Ridge Sustainable Arts and Music Festival have announced a massive 26 new acts to their already bulging line up. Joining previously announced Gotye, Xavier Rudd, The Dum Dum Girls and more will be revived American rocker and master lyricist, Jim Ward, world breaking Canadian band Yukon Blonde, Melbourne band of the moment – Aria Award nominated Oh Mercy, hot Aussie favourite – Canyons, and bursting local act New Navy.

Festival director Matt Grant says “We’ve got a great eclectic line-up of music from musicians and bands of the moment, those soon to break, and others you may not have heard of, but that I know our fans will love, with more announcements to be made, including (incredibly) more new artists, Peats Ridge renowned arts and cultural program, sustainability program and children’s festival for music lovers with kids, fun and surprises still await.”

The festival seems to have shrugged off some controversy aired a fortnight ago when it was discovered that the company that runs Peats Ridge had gone into voluntary administration. At the time Grant issued a statement saying “The reasoning behind Peats Ridge going under external administration is simply – it allows us a way to continue to pay off our few remaining creditors, and still put on a great festival experience for fans over this New Year’s.”

62 acts are now confirmed to play the Festival, spanning the gamut of musical interests and tastes, with 48 local acts and 14 internationals. See below for the full additions to the lineup.
