Here’s a fun clip for ‘Hollywood Romance’, a delightful number from new Sydney pop-rock outfit Ex-Cassette.
Despite their name, they don’t seem to have moved on from the cassette format at all, as their clip looks straight out of a VCR – in full 4:3, 480p glory. The song itself is a bit of a throwback to old-school bubblegum pop – especially as far as the vocals are concerned – but sounds pretty damn fresh in the current climate.
They’ll be following this one up with their debut EP very soon, with a tour to follow. ‘Hollywood Romance’ is available now on cassette… No, wait, iTunes.
