Sydney rockers Borneo recently signed to the ever-expanding Habit Music Company, and wasted no time dropping their moody single ‘Boyfriend’. Now, they’re back with an entire debut EP, Alert!, and a tour to match.

Recorded in Byron, the EP packs the aforementioned ‘Boyfriend’, alongside the machine-like title track and the playful semi-rework of Creedence classic ‘Proud Mary’, ‘Hold Me In The River’. The first full record released by the group, the band say it asks the question of “What does freedom really mean?”, adding that “There’s more to life and more to the human conversation than what we believe or what we are told”.

There’s more on the cards for Borneo, too. Having played a host of shows across Australia and New Zealand in 2016, they’ll be ramping things up once again with Alert! out in the wild, kicking off an album tour on Friday 26th May at the Rare Finds party in Brissy, and continuing across the East Coast throughout May and June, dates below.

If you like what you hear, you can pre-order your copy of the EP ahead of its official release this Friday, and stream it right here.
