Today we’ve got a new clip for ‘Djarliny’, the recent single from Burdiya Mob, a group of young Aboriginal artists from Narrogin who produced the track in collaboration with the Community Arts Network.
‘Djarliny’ means “listen”, and the track is not only a celebration of traditional Noongar culture, but also a call for the revival of swiftly-disappearing native languages, and a call to listen to the knowledge being passed down by Indigenous Elders.
The hip hop-infused number was produced with help from Scott Griffiths (Downsyde) and Gina Williams, while the beautifully-shot clip was directed by Poppy van Oorde Grainger and shot by Matsu, who has produced clips for the likes of Koi Child, Taku and Eskimo Joe.
