U.S. rockers Cage The Elephant are back with their new album today, Unpeeled, and are rolling it out across the world with a new video dropping every hour – the latest of which we have for you right here.

Taken from their Grammy-winning 2015 studio album Tell Me I’m Pretty, ‘Cold Cold Cold’ is one of the covers and stripped-back live originals that make up the new record, with the tracks being recorded over a run of U.S. shows in LA, Nashville, Knoxville and Washington DC.

“Many times you’re adding sonic layers looking for something to hide behind, and what you don’t realise is that that vulnerability and that nakedness might be the most compelling and interesting thing about the song,” frontman Matt Shultz says.

“We connected with the songs in a way we hadn’t before,” adds guitarist Brad Shultz. “It was really all about the balance of the intimacy and the delicacy of how we approach playing these songs live acoustically and with strings as we hadn’t done before.

“We were very transparent, and we found the more honest you can be with yourself, the more honest  you can be with everyone else.”

Cage The Elephant will be busting out these live gems alongside Queens of the Stone Age, Liam Gallagher, the Foo Fighters and more when the latter launch their own rock fest CalJam in October.
