Beat music never really died, it just slipped off the radio over the years.

Two-piece beat group The Naturals have just released their debut album, the storming, shimmering We Are The Naturals, a twelve-song statement of intent that brings to mind the early Beatles and Kinks records, as well as ’70s power pop like The Raspberries, The Knack and Cheap Trick. The guys are brothers who hail from the Hunter Valley, although their tunes work better with beer and whiskey, rather than the wine that the region is popular for.

The first single from the record, ‘Billy’, was released in March and is a sepia-toned garage stomper, but follow-up ‘Out Of My Head’ is a lush pop gem, with chiming guitars, an instant chorus, and warm production.

Check it out below, and if you dig what you hear, check out their website here, and the album on iTunes or Spotify.
