Today we’ve got a brand new track from Sydney rockers The Iron Horses, a jam fully-laden with eminently hummable vocal melodies and earworm riffs.

Produced by former Thirsty Merc guitarist Sean Carey, ‘Traffic’ is a proper dose of melodic rock from a band who cut their teeth on the storytelling of Ryan Adams for their 2016 EP Stop Start.

While they now point to the likes of Kingswood and Kings of Leon as driving forces behind their latest melodies, we can’t help but hear a little of Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson in the vocals here as well, pairing very nicely with the mid-track solo work.

‘Traffic’ will officially be released this Friday June 2, and The Iron Horses will be taking it on the road with them on a five-date tour of Melbourne and Sydney, dates below.
