Melbourne garage rockers The Naysayers, are today unveiling the trippy new video for their single ‘Passing By’.

Driven by jangly garage riffs, hooky harmonies, and riddled with fuzzy mini guitar solos, ‘Passing By’ is everything that’s so great about local garage rock right now.

This music video has been months in the making. With animations provided by The Naysayer‘s Harrie Kingston and Canberra based visual artist Danny Wild, the clip sees Harrie walking through a constantly changing vibrant landscape and ‘passing by’ a cast of colourful characters.

“In the past we’d just shoot our videos over the course of an afternoon with the help of a few beers, a lose concept, and whatever props we could find in the garage“, said bassist Nathaniel Parbery. “For ‘Passing By’ we wanted up the ante. The song deserved it.”

Filmed and edited by videographer Ben Davies (Monuments, Twelve Foot Ninja, Dead Letter Circus, The Red Paintings) over one session, this music video embodiesthe excitement and wonder of the single and boasts a new standard of quality and artistry for the group. Check it out below and if you like what you’re hearing (and seeing) be sure to visit the band’s Facebook page for more info on upcoming shows and releases.
