A year ago I decided to try teach myself how to make electronic music on Ableton. Can’t remember much but what came out was this weird mix of dark psyche rock with heavy bass and beats. Then Mim came along and gave it this beautiful evilness.  If you are a fan of Mazzy Starr, The Kills, Bassnectar, Death In Vegas you’ll get it.

What’s your earliest memory of performing and who inspired you to start?

My older cousin’s had a punk band Vial8 (members went on to play in Ground Components and Money For Rope. I would sit down in their basement and get my ears blasted.. that’s when I knew I wanted to play music…. Loud!!

You must answer this question honestly or we steal your rider. What and where was the first gig you went to?

Sum41 at the corner hotel circa 2002.. aint ashamed of ma roots

‘Fess up. What records have you stolen from your parent’s record collection and why?

Nuffin to fess up…. Grew up in a musical home. Dad gave me Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here as well as Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring. That’s where I got my love for Progressive Epiceness. Then my mum gave me Neil Young’s Harvest which taught me the power of stripped down song writing.

What’s on heavy rotation on your iPod right now?

Bassnectar, The Kills and a little bit of Porter Robinson

How do you find new music?

I don’t…….understand

Do you have any particular ritual before you go on stage, or even a lucky charm you take with you?

We let the gimp out for a bit. We are in the process of putting together the first show so will get back to on that one.

If you could curate your own festival, where would it be, who would be on the bill, how many people would you let in and what features would it have ?

Leave the festival curating to those with enough money and or foolish enough to try put one on….A festival without sniffer dogs would be nice, also would be cool if chicken schnitzels were served

When you’re Rolling Stones Big, what are you going to request on your rider: don’t be shy. We want specifics!

A Jacuzzi with plenty of floozies

Bottle of scotch, rum and tequila

An on site doctor to administer any necessary shots

Sample pack of krispy Kremes

Slab of Welches Sparkling Strawberry Soda

and One ripe avocado

Because it’s more fun to do things together, which living Australian artist would you most like to collaborate with? Tell us why?

Definitely with the surviving members of HTRK.  We both play dark hypnotic music with live instruments and electronics…would be evil as shit

What is your band’s music the best soundtrack for?

A Snuff film directed by Gus Van Sant

Where we can see you play next, what releases do you have available and where can we get them?
