This’ll be great news for some, and frustrating news for others, considering how many fans missed out on tickets to QOTSA’s Splendour in the Grass sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney next month, but we’ve got to say, they’ve made great choices for their support acts.

The indefinable Ecca Vandal will be heading up the shows in both Melbourne and Sydney, and if you’ve never had the chance to see her electro-infused racket, we strongly recommend it. The tickets were hard to come by, so make the most of ’em.

If you’re still hunting for tix, consider making the trip up to Darwin for the pairing of QOTSA and Ngukurr band Lonely Boys, whose raucous dancehall sound will definitely be an interesting match. If you’re heading along and keen to see who you’ll be hearing first, check out our premiere of their 2016 track ‘Drop It Down Girl’ and its spiraling keyboard lines.
