While Paul McCartney is gearing up to play his first Australian show in almost a quarter of a century, former Beatles partner Ringo is about to drop his 19th solo record Give More Love, and has enlisted his ex-bandmate for a few tracks on the new album.

Named ‘We’re On The Road Again’, this new single features the pair, along with guests Joe Walsh, Edgar Winter, and even Steve Lukather of Toto, in a straight-ahead classic rock jam.

Ringo recently revealed his fairly simple songwriting method, and like much of his work this new one pretty much does just what it says on the tin, with a few howls of excitement from Paul about heading out on another tour, despite having spent decades on the road at this point.

It’s the first time we’ve heard the two together since Starr’s Y Not LP in 2010, and it’s always heartwarming to see the two remaining Beatles icons sharing a stage or a studio – give this one a listen below.
