Weezer just released their hookiest single in some years, the cheerful ‘Feels Like Summer’ which finds Rivers Cuomo using his ‘Hash Pipe’ falsetto to great effect.

In keeping with the sunny theme, Rivers came dressed to Jimmy Kimmel Live as everyone’s favourite celestial heat source and belted out the new single, as well as their 2001 single ‘Island In The Sun’.

‘Feels Like Summer’ is the lead single off what is being dubbed ‘The Black Album’, the band’s fifth-such self-titled album, usually referred to by the colour of the cover art.

“What could stand out more against ‘White’ than ‘Black’?” Cuomo explained to DIY. “I think it’s going to maybe be like Beach Boys gone bad. I’m thinking of swearing, which is something I’ve never done in songs.
