Bluesfest 2018  got us ridiculously excited for with its first lineup announcement for next year, featuring iconic Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant playing solo and Led Zeppelin classics with his band The Sensational Space Shifters, along with other big names like Lionel Richie and Prince’s band The New Power Generation.

Now, Bluesfest Touring has announced that Plant will be playing a run of Bluesfest 2016 sideshows in Melbourne and Perth in April next year, alongside shows at the Sydney Opera House in March, while a range of other acts have revealed they’ll be touring as well.

Robert Plant brings his killer new solo work to Bluesfest 2018 sideshows

The New Power Generation, who played alongside the legendary Prince on his earlier releases before returning to record his final album, Hit n Run: Phase Two, are also heading to Australia for Melbourne and Sydney gigs in March, playing Prince’s hits from throughout his entire career.

Downtempo U.K. electronic outfit Morcheeba will be making their way to Sydney and Melbourne for Bluesfest 2018 sideshows too, as will Gov’t Mule, the Southern rock jam band originally formed as a side-project of the legendary Allman Brothers Band, who will be accompanied by fellow rockers Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real.

Pre-sale for all shows begins this Wednesday October 18 at 10am, with the general sale tickets available from 10am on Friday October 20.
