A Saskwatch Australian Tour 2014 has been announced to coincide with the release of their new album.

Tomorrow sees the official release of Saskwatch’s Nose Dive, the second full-length release from the Melbourne-based indie-soul nine-piece, and this month sees Saskwatch kicking off a massive national tour to launch the album.

The 13-date Nose Dive Tour will see the group bulking their already impressive live show with a whole album’s worth of new material as they visit all major capital cities with special regional stops in Castlemaine, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Margaret River, Fremantle, and Ballarat.

Next week, Saskwatch will also play two free (yes, FREE!) live performances in their hometown of Melbourne to celebrate their latest LP release. Both instore appearances will happen on Tuesday 15th April, the first will take place at 12:45pm at Basement Discs in Block Arcade in the CBD where the band will preview their new album. The second event will kick off at Northside Records in Fitzroy at 7pm with the band playing a full length live show followed by a meet & greet and tropical themed after party with Northside DJs + a Tiki Bar!

The Melbourne based 9-piece indie-soul outfit have been super busy since the release of their newest single ‘Born To Break Your Heart’ just over a month ago. They played a string of festival shows including WOMADelaide, Panama Festival amd Wollongong Uni Garden Party and dropped into Triple J to perform a very special cover of Jagwar Ma’s ‘Let Her Go’ for Like a Version (watch/listen here).

Nose Dive is a “breathtaking” album “brimming with energy,” in the words of our Tone Deaf reviewer, who called it a “commanding release from the sultans of smooth soul and exhilarating rock.”

Nose Dive is officially out tomorrow, Friday 11th April, via Northside Records/Remote Controls. Tone Deaf recently hit up Saskwatch for the sounds that inspired their second album, resulting in this eclectic 14-track mixtape, courtesy of chief songwriter and trumpeter Liam McGorry.
