Sensation festival is one of the world’s biggest dance festivals, and it’s headed to Australia this year. Now, we know the first international name to join the lineup – and it’s a big one.

None other than the Grammy-nominated, mouse-headed superstar DJ and producer Deadmau5 will be leading the charge when Sensation hits Sydney’s Olympic Park on November 25, playing in Australia for the first time in over three years.

We’re not at all shocked to hear that Deadmau5 is the first headliner on the bill, considering Sensation’s huge global popularity. Having launched in Amsterdam in the year 2000, it’s gone on to run events in 34 countries so far, before finally making it’s way to Oz presented by Dance Nation Australia.

We expect tickets to go pretty quickly considering how quickly these things tend to sell overseas, so if you’re hoping to catch the Mau5 and the rest of what we’re sure will be a massive inaugural lineup, we’d suggest pre pre-registering for first access to tickets (which actually gives you the chance to win return flights, accommodation and 2 x tickets to Sensation ‘The Final’ in Amsterdam, too).

More acts will be announced over the coming weeks, and we expect quite a few more heavy-hitters before November rolls around.
