No matter which way you look at it, Shannon Noll is the gift that keeps on giving. From his career beginnings as a runner-up on Australian Idol in 2003, to a living legend who managed to become the Government’s ambassador for live music, Shannon Noll almost seems too good to be true at times. Now, old mate Nollsie is giving back to his fans by announcing a new tour to help celebrate his first album in seven years.

Announced today, Shannon Noll is set to release Unbroken on February 2nd, one week shy of the 14th anniversary of his debut record, That’s What I’m Talking About.

“It’s been a good while since I’ve released an album even though I’ve been writing the whole time and I’m so proud to say that these songs are the best of all the songs I have written,” said Noll. “I’ve had more input than ever, so this album is more personal to me than any other before it. I can’t wait to see what my fans think of it, because I couldn’t be happier!”

“I’m champing at the bit to go play them live. There were a couple of years where I didn’t play as much, but that has revitalised me.

“I’m a bit more in the moment again and enjoying what’s happening, rather than worrying about what’s around the corner. I’m singing better than I ever have and the band is cooking. It’s back to being lots of fun.”

The new record features Shannon Noll at his true blue best, and consists of a number of tracks written with some of Australia and New Zealand’s best songwriters, including Busby Marou’s Tom Busby, Evermore’s Jon Hume, and Sydney’s Lindsay Rimes, who helped write a variety of tracks on 2011’s A Million Suns.

To help celebrate the record, Nollsie will be heading out on tour next May, hitting up Sydney, Dapto, Adelaide, Melbourne, and wrapping up proceedings in Brisbane. With a reputation for putting on some pretty wild shows, you won’t want to miss one of Australia’s favourite sons delivering quite a spectacle, so make sure you get your tickets early.
