Music fans across the globe unanimously voted that Aussie songstress Sia Furler most definitely won best music video of the year with her cataclysmic hit ‘Chandelier’, nobody could forget the unbelievable dance movements of the young and brilliantly talented Maddie Ziegler, and this year Sia has wasted no time, returning with a rather interesting new vid.

The 38-year old having once again enlisted the springy Maddie Ziegler has also roped in actor Shia LaBeouf for her music video of the vocal gymnastic routine ‘Elastic Heart’ and it’s got a few viewers up in arms

Directed by both Sia and Daniel Askill and choreographed by Ryan Heffingtonthe, the stirring clip sees the 12-year old Ziegler dressed in a skin-toned body suit whilst the 28-year old LaBeouf is shirtless in pretty revealing shorts, the pair are pitted against each other in what appears as a dance battle of sorts.

What’s raised the brows of many viewers is the physical contact between the two, some going as far as to allege sexual connotations between the two.

On the flipside, there are many that have argued the video displays a strained relationship between a father and daughter battling through mental illness. One comment on the video has written explained the video as the following “The cage [is] mental illness. Sia and her dad were trapped in it, due to it they fought and when they tried to get along they couldn’t. Sia escaped mental illness but her dad could not, because he was trapped in his old ways. She went back to rescue him but it was too late. His dad cannot fix his old habits.”

Check out the video for ‘Elastic Heart’ below and you be the judge, is this another brilliant form of visual art, or has Sia missed the mark completely?
