Slipknot have a new 90-minute documentary coming to cinemas: Day Of The Gusano, which chronicles their festival Knotfest Mexico City, as well as shining a light on their rabid fanbase of “maggots.”

Day Of The Gusano documents not only a historic Knotfest Mexico City performance from Slipknot, one of the most exciting live bands on the planet”, read the documentary’s official description, “but delves deeply into the lives of the ban’s fans as well. Slipknot’s fans, better known as maggots, are essential to the band’s legacy. This highly anticipated show captures the chaos, excitement and community that has been cultivated over the past 20+ years.”

No release date has been announced for Australia, but the film will receive a limited theatre release across America from September 6 – which means we’ll see it quite soon, no doubt.
