Sophisticated Dingo are a pair of garage-rockers from Melbourne who impressed us quite a bit recently with their clip for the very fun ‘Witch Love’, but they’ve kicked things up a notch with their latest single ‘Head Talk’ and its awesome video.

The new clip sees the canine-head doing their very best to find love in a tough habitat, as the raucous new single tears along in the background, their excellent brand of garage rock given an extra layer of polish since their last outing thanks to slick co-production by Water Bear’s Thomas Keyte at the tasty pairing of Salt Studios and Baked Bean Studios, and mastering by Joe Carra, who has worked on the likes of King Gizzard & The Wizard Lizard, Skegss, The Peep Tempel.

They’ve left it with just the right amount of tattered edges to keep things exciting though, probably helped by poking their heads out of the studio and recording the choruses of backing vox in Keyte’s kitchen and living room for the perfect touch of DIY charm – wild and measured at once, befitting their name.

Sophisticated Dingo really do belt out a hell of a sound for a two-piece, and are quickly becoming one of our favourite undiscovered rock acts in the country, with the potential to knock on the doors of everyone from Polish Club and H0ckey Dad to Skegss and Dune Rats.

The cute video definitely doesn’t hurt, either, so give it a look below.
