Bruce Springsteen had a difficult upbringing; an insular child with a rock star dream and the highway in his eyes, clashing with an angry, hard father who fell short of his own promise and took it out on those close to him. It’s almost like a Springsteen song, isn’t it?

The New Jersey house that Bruce lived in between the ages of 6 and 18 is for sale for a cool US$269,900, which seems cheap for a house in 2017.

The house is 736-square-feet and was built in 1905. Given it inspired a lot of music from one of the biggest artists in the world, it’s only fair that we snoop around the property, checking out the back porch where Bruce once sat and strummed his guitar (probably) or imagining young Bruce in the bathtub (not like that!).

All these photos come from the real estate listing on Zillow, so do them a solid and buy a few properties off them to show your appreciation.

It’s the least you could do.
