The Sprung Hip Hop Festival 2013 lineup is here and the country’s biggest All Aussie Hip Hop Festival just got bigger. After blowing the roof off Brisbane two years in a row, this year Spring Hip Hop Festival is heading down south so all the Melbournians who’ve been screaming for us can get in on the Sprung action as well.

This All Ages event has assembled the biggest, baddest, most explosive hip hop line up featuring ARIA Award winning, chart toppers 360 and Drapht alongside a stellar line-up that includes Channel [V] Oz Artist of the Year Seth Sentry, The Funkoars, Horrorshow, Thundementals, Diafrix, Brad Strut, Allday, The Crate Cartel, Bam Bam, Lazy Grey & Jake Biz, Dialectrix, Purpose, Mr Hill & Rahjconkas, K21, Eloji, Komplete, Chelsea Jane, Savo, and last but certainly not least Urthboy.

360 is quite simply massive right now. Since the 2011 release of his sophomore album Falling & Flying, the Melbourne rapper has notched up a top five ARIA album, a #1 iTunes chart debut, three entries in the 2012 triple j Hottest 100.

Drapht always delivers a set that lives up to his monster reputation, with hits like ‘Bali Party’ and ‘Sing It’ off his Aria number 1 album, ‘The Life of Riley’. With a fifth studio album in the works and singles set for release in the lead up to SPRUNG 2013, he is by no means the new kid on the block.

The ‘The Waitress Song’, introduced Seth Sentry to us when it placed at #31 on 2010’s coveted Hottest 100. But it was his debut album ‘This Was Tomorrow’ that sent everyone into a spin and had Channel [V] award him Oz Artist of the Year in 2012. At this point who doesn’t know ‘Dear Science’ or “Float Away’? He had Storm Troopers and super soakers on stage last year. What has Seth Sentry got in store for the SPRUNG crowd this year?

Urthboy’s highly anticipated album ‘Smokey’s Haunt’ was released on October 12 last year to rave reviews. It debuted at 14 on the ARIA Album Chart and 1 in the ARIA Urban Chart. It was Triple J Album of the Week and The Australian gave it 5 stars saying it’s “Absolutely captivating, play on repeat”. How stoked are we that we’ve finally got him at SPRUNG!

For the inaugural SPRUNG Melbourne, the festival has taken over two large soccer ovals at the Kevin Bartlett Sport & Recreation Complex located on FR Smith Drive, Burnley to make room for this massive event. And Brisbane has finally found their permanent home at Victoria Park Cricket Ovals on Gilchrist Avenue, just a stone’s throw from Fortitude Valley.

Tickets are set at a low, barely wallet tickling $79 (+ bf). For the hardcore die-hard fans who are quick on the uptake, advance tickets will be available and on sale to SPRUNG HIP HOP mail subscribers at the insane price of $70 (+ bf). Advance tickets are limited with first in best dressed being able to take up the glory.

18+ VIP Tickets are going for $130 (+BF). Remember – they sold out in 2 hours flat last year so don’t take too long deciding if you’re ‘going all out’ this year.

This is an All Ages Event so no one misses out. Promoters are keen to give everyone the chance to get “SPRUNG”.
