Australia just can’t seem to get enough of dynamic UK trio The Wombats. So much so, in fact, that their upcoming Splendour In The Grass sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne sold out in minutes, and as a result, promoters have just upgraded venues in both cities to accommodate demand.
The band’s eagerly anticipated Sydney performance has been moved from the Enmore Theatre to The Hordern Pavilion. Meanwhile, their Melbourne show has been moved from the band’s old haunt the Palais to Margaret Court Arena. Tickets for both shows are on sale now.
You know The Wombats from their unforgettable singles like, ‘Let’s Dance to Joy Division’, ‘Backfire at the Disco’, and ‘Kill the Director’, and soon you’re gonna know them for their dynamic and energetic live performances when they touch down to join the incredible Splendour 2015 lineup.
One of Splendour 2015’s most eagerly anticipated draws, the UK trio will be armed with tunes from their acclaimed third studio effort, Glitterbug, a Triple J feature album that debuted at number two on the ARIA charts.
