Black Sabbath have officially called it quits, which has prompted guitarist Tony Iommi to start thinking about his next project, a record with Queen legend Brian May.

The pair planned to record together in 2013, but those plans were shelved as Black Sabbath toured their album 13. That earlier project was more conceptual: “The idea was to put all these riffs out in some form, so that people could build their own songs from them,” May said at the time.

It seems they are still planning to record together, although this time it’s May’s Queen schedule they’ll need to work around.

“Brian came up to my house a couple of weeks ago, and we started talking about it again – but it’s quite possible,” Iommi told EON Music. “We’d like to do it, but now he’s going on tour. But yeah, I’d like to do something with him.”

The pair appeared together on ‘Goodbye Lament’, a track from Iommi’s 200 album. The song also features Dave Grohl on lead vocals, just to add to the awesomeness. Listen below.
