With Nine Inch Nails’ latest EP titled ADD VIOLENCE, it’s not surprising he has some strong political views on his mind, and his latest outburst against U.S. President Donald Trump sums up how many people are feeling about their elected leader, who continues to make moves like banning transgender people from serving in the U.S. military.

In a new interview with The Village Voice (via Pitchfork), Reznor gave his thoughts on releasing new music when his country and the world are in such a dire situation.

“It’s tough, because the president of the United States is a complete fucking moron,” he says. “That’s what gets me the most — that he’s this vulgar, grotesque dope, everything I hate in people.”

“I don’t think he believes in science and I don’t think he believes people should be treated decently and I don’t think he tells the truth,” Reznor adds, when discussing how he’s able to articulate his feelings to his six-year-old son. “That’s why I don’t like him.”

Reznor is one of many artists who have slammed Trump time and time again, with Roger Waters recently met with boos and walkouts at his gig after depicting the President as a statue with “an extremely small penis” and a baby being cradled by Vladimir Putin, in a performance that some found excessive.

Nine Inch Nails, meanwhile, returned to the stage for the first time in three years recently, which you can see below.
