Motley Crue are often cited as the ultimate hair-metal band, but just check out Poison’s credentials : 50 million albums sold worldwide; six top ten singles; and one word coined (“Unskinny”).

Also, check out that hair. Also, they have the type of undeniable band name which should have been snapped up back in the ’60s. Also, ‘Every Rose Has Its Thorn’.

Anyway, the point of this is to announce that – after more than a decade – Poison have reformed, and will be touring the U.S. with Def Leppard.

This isn’t one of those Kool and The Gang-type reunion, either, where it’s the original drummer and a bunch of ring-ins, this is the lineup that recorded their classic albums: vocalist Bret Michaels, guitarist CC Deville, bassist Bobby Dall and drummer Rikki Rockett.

The band have promised more dates soon, which will hopefully include an Australian tour.

Oh look – here’s Bret Michaels now! Let’s see what he has to say. “I’m really looking forward to the Poison tour.

“It’s going to be incredible playing all the hits and putting on a hell of a high-energy rock show for the three generations of awesome fans.”

Unskinny bop, nothing more to say.
