It’s a question that’s plagued rock music ever since its glorious, noisy birth in the 50s, when Jerry Lee Lewis was asked to warm up for Chuck berry, and has been causing feuds – furious and friendly alike – ever since. Who will headline and who will open?

Cherry Bar are ready to resolve that age-old debate, with a demonstration to take place each Wednesday in June with Melbourne’s rock and roll raconteurs Vice Grip Pussies. Together, they’re looking to put an end to 60 years of debate. Introducing the patented Cherry Double-Stage where two bands will solve one of live music’s biggest dilemmas each week as two bands play on two stages, side-by-side, track-for-track.

Throughout the month of June, Vice Grip Pussies will square off against some stiff competition in the form of Melbourne’s best local rockers in one-of-a-kind double-headed, double-stage music gigs. No headliners, no warm ups.

The month-long series begins on 5th June, with Vice Grip Pussies Vs. Bitter Sweet Kicks, before tackling Stone Revival, Drunk Mums, and wrapping the live music face-off with Bugdust on Wednesday 26th June.
