Adelaide’s WANDERERS have just given us a very nice pick-me-up for a Monday, a romping live recording of their slinky guitar jam ‘Loco’.
Having changed their name from the Wasted Wanderers to simply WANDERERS, the trio are maturing into an exciting emerging roots outfit, honing their soul-soaked grooves through months of touring. Now, their six-track sophomore EP Something Of A Distraction has arrived, and the sighing ‘Loco’ is a standout, raunchy swells of guitar dancing with silken harmonies. It’s a track that impressed in its original form, but that shines even more brightly in a live setting with a horn section glinting under stage lights.
With a bunch of new tunes under their belt, Wanderers are about to launch into a huge run of live dates across the country, including an appearance at their hometown’s own Silver Raven Festival on April 22, and the soulful strains of this live rendition of ‘Loco’ below definitely have us sold on catching a Wanderers gig.
