Courtney Love has such a notorious reputation that it’s easy to forget that she is also a skilled, Golden Globe-nominated actress, with a number of critically-acclaimed roles to her name. Which is why it’s interesting that she’s taken a role in a Lifetime movie — not known for their adherence to quality control — based on the Menendez Brothers, set to air next month in the U.S.

Menendez: Blood Brothers tells the story of Lyle and Erik Menendez, who were convicted of the murder of their parents in 1989. The film details their abuse at the hands of their father, José Menendez, a powerful Hollywood executive. Courtney plays the boys’ mother — Kitty Menendez, and appears in the below trailer.
