There are a hell of a lot of Dave Grohl fans, which is why his mother can get a publishing deal and write a book in which she speaks to other mothers of rock stars such as Adam Levine, Tom Morello, and Amy Winehouse about the admittedly singular experience.

Virginia Grohl is now promoting said book, From Cradle To Stage: Stories From The Mothers Who Rocked And Raised Rock Stars, and yesterday she roped Dave in to appear with her at the Los Angeles Times’ annual Festival Of Books.

Seapking of roping Dave in, watch below as he recounts a tale of his mother guilting him into playing drums at a jazz club for her birthday.
