If you’re keeping up with Foo Fighters news lately, you’d know that they’re enjoying giving fans a taste of their new record. Already they’ve given us live debuts of ‘Dirty Water’ in Paris, ‘La Dee Da’ in Iceland, and ‘The Sky Is A Neighbourhood’ in San Francisco, just to name a few. At this rate, we’ll have heard the whole album before it’s even out, because they just premiered a new track at a show in Greece.
Playing in Athens on Monday night, Dave Grohl and co. took much delight in their ability to wow the crowd with a setlist packed full of fan favourites, and new tracks that are certain to be classics. In front of adoring fans, the Foo Fighters rattled off a whole bunch of their new tracks, including ‘Dirty Water’, ‘Run’, ‘La Dee Da’, and ‘Sunday Rain’, but it didn’t stop there, because fans got an extra special surprise with the inclusion of the new track ‘Arrows’.
While fans might have been disappointed that the group’s setlist included ‘The Sky Is A Neighbourhood’, but was never played, they would definitely have taken solace in the fact they were the very first to hear ‘Arrows’. It sounds exactly like the Foo Fighters that we’ve come to know and love, and if this new track is any indication as to how the rest of the album will sound, it’s fair to say we’re in for a treat.
Check out the Foo Fighters performing ‘Arrows’ in Athens, Greece below. The group’s ninth studio effort, Concrete And Gold, is due for release on September 15th.Write a Letter to the Editor
