We recently ran a story on indie rock favourite Mac DeMarco after the critically acclaimed singer-songwriter concluded his most recent release by giving out the address to his home on the oceanside edge of Far Rockaway, New York.
After handing out his home address, DeMarco invited fans to come visit him and join him for a coffee, but now, in a new mini-documentary courtesy of Rolling Stone, fans outside of the tri-state area can visit DeMarco’s pad.
The mini-doco covers DeMarco’s life since his explosion in popularity, with the songwriter recounting his first record advance — a sweet $1,000 — which he received when he was working the night shift at a grocery store in Montreal.
Fans get to see DeMarco’s routine when the rocker isn’t on tour, which is essentially the indie rock dream. With a busy touring schedule providing DeMarco with an income, he leads an easygoing life hanging out with his girlfriend and housemates and trying to remember to brush his teeth.Write a Letter to the Editor
