After much nail-biting, hair-pulling, sleepless anticipation, the Splendour In The Grass 2016 lineup has finally arrived, bringing with it a whole host of incredible artists who’ll be taking over Byron Bay this July, including The Cure, The Strokes, Flume, The Avalanches, and many more.
Punters will also get to see performances from At The Drive In, Violent Soho, Hermitude, Band of Horses, Sigur Ros, Santigold, Matt Corby, Sticky Fingers, Boy & Bear, Jake Bugg, The 1975, Leon Bridges, Duke Dumont, James Vincent McMorrow, Courtney Barnett, The Kills, and Gang of Youths.
If you’re anything like us (or indeed the vast majority of Aussie music fans), you’ve been waiting for the SITG 2016 lineup for months, combing through international festival lineups and tour dates to figure out who’s likely, unlikely, and who definitely won’t be there.
The dates for Splendour got locked in back in January and took no time at all for the rumour mill to kick into high gear, bolstered by certain bands, such as The 1975, who just couldn’t keep their leaps sealed.
Some fans thought Christmas had come prematurely earlier this week when an alleged “leaked” lineup started doing the rounds, though as we noted at the time, the obvious forgery had quite a few mistakes on it.
You can finally feast your eyes on the full Splendour In The Grass 2016 lineup below in all its glory, along with all of the dates and ticketing details. Tickets are on sale soon and if previous years are anything to go by, they will sell out.
