When Gorillaz released their first song in over six years in January, many fans let out a sigh of relief.

Sure, they had been teasing material throughout 2016, but as release dates never materialised, and cryptic clues remained just that, it felt like a serious case of the Avalanches. Chinese Democracy in full effect. They sang “time for me is nothing” on ‘Clint Eastwood’, but we didn’t think they meant it!

Now we have hard evidence that the Gorillaz machine is back in full swing, with the announcement that on June 10, Gorillaz will host their very own festival at the Dreamland amusement park in Kent.

So far they are the only act announced, but this bodes well for a new album, and (possibly, hopefully, definitely maybe) an Australian tour.

The whole gig will be streamed on Redbull.TV too – which I’m sure we will remind you of closer to the date, because we are nice like that.
