50 Cent has furthered the odd claim that Tekashi 6ix9ine is his son, distancing himself from the controversial rapper following his arrest for racketeering.

Back in June, 50 Cent took to Instagram to share the news to his followers that Tekashi 6ix9ine (aka Daniel Hernandez) was actually his biological son.

“Your not gonna believe this but l dated a Mexican girl back in the day,” the rapper wrote alongside an image of the pair. “l took a blood test and just found out 69’s my son. no wonder he acts like that. get the strap”

While 6ix9ine later played along with the claim, no documented proof has come forward, leading to fans thinking it’s just another classic 50 Cent prank.

More recently though, 6ix9ine was taken into federal custody over racketeering and firearms charges. If convicted, he could face life in prison.

The rapper was arrested alongside four of his associates — former manager Shotti (Kifano Jordan), Ish (Jensel Butler), Crippy (Faheem Walter), and Fu Banga (Fuguan Lovick), as The Huffington Post reported.

All men are reportedly members of Bloods street gang ‘Nine Trey Blood’, and have been named in a series of indictments that range from 2013 to just this month.

“As alleged in the indictment, this gang, which included platinum-selling rap artist Tekashi 6ix 9ine, wreaked havoc on New York City, engaging in brazen acts of violence,” explained U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman in a statement.

“Showing reckless indifference to others’ safety, members of the gang were allegedly involved in robberies and shootings, including a shooting inside the crowded Barclay’s Center, and a shooting in which an innocent bystander was hit.”

Following the arrest – and news that 6ix9ine’s $750k bail had been denied by a judge – 50 Cent took to Instagram again to distance himself from the troubled musician.

“My son got picked up, I told him don’t call me, shit,” 50 Cent wrote. “The Fed’s on you fool, call ya momma. don’t put the FBI on my phone. positive vibes only.”

While 50 Cent appears to be ensuring this ridiculous fatherhood claim continues on for longer than it needs to, it seem he’s wisely severing ties with the infamous rapper while he has the chance.
