Aerosmith front man Steve Tyler, who is currently having a very public spot of biffo with the rest of the band who weren’t too happy about him appearing as a host of on American Idol, has announced he’s releasing a solo single.  The song, entitled ‘(It) Feels So Good’ is set for release in the US on May 9th. The song is expected to premiere on American Idol where he, conveniently, is a judge.

It’s his second solo single release, following up the song ‘Love Lives’ which sank without trace last November. Tyler is supposedly recording a new Aerosmith album, although he and guitarist Joe Perry are supposedly barely on speaking terms. Despite the fact that Aerosmith haven’t released an album in seven years since the tragically named Honkin’ On Hobo in 2004, Tyler is powering ahead with his love of the media spotlight as he prepares to release his autobiography, Does The Noise In My Head Bother You? A Rock ‘n’ Roll Memoir’, which comes out next week.
