Aerosmith’s lead singer Steven Tyler has checked himself back into rehab.

The front man who previously did a stint in rehab last year, has been struggling with pain killers and other meds for a long time.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Tyler said:

“With the help of my family and team of medical professionals I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain, I am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates.”

Earlier in the year Aerosmith had cancel their summer tour after Tyler collapsed on stage.

“I wish to set the record straight and say that I have read reports of a rumoured two-year hiatus and want to be clear that this is completely false.” he explained. “I will enthusiastically be writing, recording and performing with Aerosmith as soon as things are handled.”

With the years ticking over Tyler, we hope Aerosmith get back where they belong at the top!
