The 26-year old son of Rose Tattoo frontman Angry Anderson has passed away following a brutal assault in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

As the ABC reports, police were called to a reserve in Queenscliff just after 6am on Sunday morning, where a 20-year-old male was found violently beating Liam Anderson.

Despite efforts from police and paramedics, Anderson tragically passed away while en route to Northern Beaches hospital.

Detective Inspector Michael Boutouridis explained that the assault, which may have lasted up to half an hour, was exceptionally violent.

“It was quite a bloody scene,” Boutouridis explained to the media. “The man we have in custody was violent and it took a number of police officers to subdue and arrest him.”

“Capsicum spray was used, OC spray, and significant force was used to arrest him,” he explained, with the 20-year-old suspect being taken to the Manly Police Station for questioning.

While police have noted that substances may have played a role in the attack, they’ve acknowledged that the two men knew each other, but are yet to determine a motive for the attack.

In addition to being the song of Angry Anderson, 26-year-old Liam Anderson was also an aspiring rapper, who performed around Sydney under the name Ranford Bigsby.

A spokesperson for Angry Anderson explained that the rocker would not be commenting on the matter, while asking for privacy during this tough time.

“With the matter in the hands of NSW Police, the family will not be making any comment at this stage, nor are we as Anderson’s management in a position to offer any comment on their behalf,” explained Scot Crawford.

Police are currently appealing for members of the public to contact them if they have any information which may help shed light on the circumstances of the deadly attack this morning.
