Life in plastic sure is fantastic when you’re the promoter for Aqua with news just in that the group have sold out both their Melbourne and Sydney shows with Brisbane and Fremantle shows soon to follow!
To cope with the demand and Australia’s obvious infatuation with the band new shows have been added in both Melbourne on the 13th of March and Sydney on the 17th of March, 2012.
AQUA will perform all of the number one hits that made them a household name the world over and saw them sell in excess of 33million albums and singles. With songs like Barbie Girl, Doctor Jones and Lollypop (Candyman), sweet-toothed Australian pop fans embraced AQUA making this country one of the most successful markets for the group.
The touring group features the original line-up of vocalists Lene Nystrøm and René Dif, keyboard player Søren Rasted and Claus Norreen on guitar.
Also sure to give a boost to ticket sales is the new ad for Lamb Australia which features Sam Kekovich singing a cover of their famous song ‘Barbie Girl’.The music video is part of a huge multi-million dollar campaign for Australia Day and we’re sure the promoters are thanking their lucky stars for the good timing.
