Canada’s Juno Awards, which are the moose loving nation’s equivalent of Australia’s ARIA Awards, were held on the weekend and for perhaps the first time, most of the winners were well known around the globe and not just in their native Canada. Arcade Fire took out album of the year, as well as best songwriter, group and alternative album, while Justin Bieber took out best pop album.

Rock legend Neil Young accepted his award for artist of the year, while dance superstar Deadmau5 took out best dance recording, while City and Colour performed a tribute to Neil Young, covering his seminal ‘Old Man’. Shania Twain showed her age, being inducted in to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
