Only a few months after being kicked off the Soundwave Tour because they wanted to play Iron Maiden’s night time slot, another promoter has taken a risk on Avenged Sevenfold and will be bringing them out to Australia for a headline tour! The band appear to be suffering from drummer problems of a Spinal Tap-esque nature  at the moment, as they sacked their then drummer not long after the Soundwave incident, who had only recently taken over the drum stool after the death of their original drummer Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan. The passing of The Rev was a pervasive influence on their fifth studio album appropriately entitled Nightmare, and saw all their grief and anger channelled in to a monster chart hit.

Three years later Avenged Sevenfold hit up Australia for a massive headline tour. Joining them on this run of shows will be the metal might of America’s SEVENDUST who blew fans away at Soundwave and associated sideshows earlier this year. Touring latest album Cold Day Memory, Sevendust has returned to the original line-up with Clint Lowery on lead guitar, restoring the equilibrium that was responsible for their most successful albums. Don’t miss out as these two heavyweights burn up Aussie stages this winter!
