Band of Horses have come a long way from their first Australian gigs, when they played a mid afternoon slot at the Meredith Music Festival, made friends with The Drones and played a well attended but not sold out show at the East Brunswick Club in Melbourne. They’ve played bigger shows each time they’ve come back, but they’re now heading back down under to support Kings of Leon at their shows here in November.

Kings of Leon had to postpone their tour which was previously scheduled for March to allow drummer Nathan Followill’s arm to recover from surgery, but promoters have announced that there will now be a third show in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena, with the new show on Wednesday 16th November set to go on sale Thursday 2nd June at 9am.

Band of Horses have been touring the States supporting Kings of Leon and it appears that they’re only one hit single away from breaking the stadium circuit as headliners themselves.
