The end of the year is fast approaching which means that Pyramid Rock is just around the corner, but if you were planning on rocking out to the sounds of Bertie Blackman at the festival prepare to be disappointed. The singer has pulled out of the festival due to ‘ongoing commitment with her fourth album’.

“I have been putting my soul into this new album furiously since the beginning of the year,” Blackman said in a prepared statement. “The little beast has taken us on a journey much further in/out of time than was firs thought. I want the first performance of this material to be startling, powerful and magical. Unfortunately, we are still in the depths of her heart and I feel it’s too early to reveal her thoughts, stories and howls.”

But it isn’t all bad news for the festival, who have also added a number of acts to their lineup including Blue King Brown, The Delta Riggs, Nick Thayer, Light Year, DJ Cecille, and Westernsynthetics.

Tickets to the 2011 Pyramid Rock Festival are still available and could make an excellent Christmas present for any fan of the Scissor Sisters, The Living End, Gotye, Grandmaster Flash, Spiderbait, and more. 2- and 3-day camping passes are on sale now from www.thepyramidrockfestival.com.
